Are winning streaks real or are they all fables? Let me tell you right up front, they are not fables. They are all real.
Winning streaks fall into two distinct classes: Those that can be influenced directly or indirectly by humans and those that cannot. You had better be sure you clearly understand the difference.
First, those that can be influenced. There are the obvious ones such as games of sport. The Home Lions needed a winning streak of 13 football games to become the Champion. But on the other side of the ball there were 11 players attempting to influence that winning streak. They never gave up and they never went away. They were there every time the ball was snapped.
Then there are the not so obvious ones such as games of poker and blackjack. Even though the cards are randomly dealt (hopefully), winning streaks are established by the skill of the player. Or just as importantly, in the case of poker the lack of skill of the opponents.
Those that can be influenced by humans are in themselves quite interesting. However, they are the subject for another article. I will only consider those winning streaks that cannot be influenced by humans for now.
Winning streaks ARE real. What they were wrong about is that anyone has the ability to identify when they are about to begin or end. They were also wrong about luck. But give them a pass on that. Few people know statistics as well as you and me.
I've won the pair of tickets to the movie, Ask The Dust.
My sweetie's working and most of my friends were in school or working.I had a hard time finding someone to accompany me to watch the movie.
I asked several of my blog readers but they were busy too.
Then, I decided to ask Runie who is also one of my blog reader to accompany me. Runie's now my best pal. He agreed.
I made a choice of meeting Mirantz first before meeting Runie.
Runie, you're so late!
Thankfully, he made it in time. I was rushing him throughout, ensuring that he would be able to make it on time.
*Laughs*
I like the background effect!
Stupid Runie cut me off from the photo!
Alex's still the best. Superb shot!
Did anyone listened to the radio yesterday? 98.7fm?
I was on air, answering the secret sound question. Yes, I guessed correctly and won a 100 dollars CD voucher!
How cool is that?
On a side note, I think Ask The Dust is rated as R21! So sorry Runie! I brought in a 16 years old guy to watch a R21 show. God, forgive me! *Laughs*
Aiyah Runie, don't tell me you never watch porn before! Watching porn is the same as watching a R21 movie!
P/S: Patricia Mok's entry coming up in the afternoon.
