張恵妹7月推出新專輯，前年她花了5000萬買下70坪的錄音工作室，又花了1000多萬元進行裝潢和器材採購，光是錄音室的麥克風造價便高達百萬，當時經紀人陳鎮川就透露，因為有了自己的錄音室，他憂心A-MEI的錄音進度會磨得更久，沒想到一語成讖，新專輯總共花了3年時間才誕生，也是她歷年來新專輯拖最久的一張。

她在造型上有不同以往的大膽嘗試，染成金灰色要先漂白再染色的過程長達7個小時，見到自己的頭髮因此斷了很多，直呼：「好痛！」最後她見到自己彷彿蛻變成一隻金色的美麗蝴蝶，卻也驚訝直說：「真的好漂亮，一切都很值得！」

A-mei releases teaser promo for 17th album

Taiwanese diva A-mei released a teaser clip on her Facebook page Tuesday to promote her latest album, the name of which is still under wraps.

With an ethereal high-pitched voice providing the background vocal, the 20-second video begins with a solitary shining star from which the scene pulls back to reveal a graphic that spells: A-mei; No. 17; 2014.The teaser, however, does not reveal a release date. According to the Facebook page it will be released in July.Over the past week, the page has posted one of A-mei's new songs, adding to the anticipation.
