Year 2O88 - Expedition, Excavate, Essence

Photography: Leonard (Pix. Story)
The Fashion landscape in Singapore is now the hegemony of Ion. Aesthetics and appearance have achieved their peak, but at a price.

The traditional and ethnic look is fast disappearing.

Ion, in an effort to preserve the original flavor of Singapore's fashion, sends a probe back in time.

The expedition team led by the fashionista leader, Gerald and Josie here, send fourth the 4 fashion guardian .... The 4 girls have since returned....

Each with a wisdom of the past encapsulated in the time traveling crystal...

Fashion Guardian : Indriani

Basking within the inner sanctum of a temple, Indriani channels the statuesque and superfluous signature of traditional indian fashion. Divinely.

Fashion Guardian: Wei Wei

A successful songstress in a reputed tea house in Chinatown, Wei Wei is replete in gold and red, colors favoured by the Chinese which are simultaneously prosperous and provocative. Like a nightingale trapped om a cage.

Fashion Guardian: Bobo

Transformed as a matriarch, Bobo carries her look as magnificently as she does her title. Edgy and experimental with shapes and fabric but embellished with traditional Peranakan accessories. Emblems of identity and totems of wealth.

Fashion Guardian: Diana

Typical of the Colonial architecture painted primarily in black and white, Diana keeps her silhouette sharp as she takes her daily stroll into the seenity of the garden. Undaunted.

The captivating storyline. The great pictures just stop time. They capture something that did not continue. It just was then, and that was the perfect moment. It wasn’t the moment before. It wasn’t the moment after. It was that moment.

Photography is people's lives touching the environment that surrounds them. It is making connections. Photographs bridge the gap between cultures, landscapes, and generations. Through photographs, we gain the ability to remember, and that is a powerful thing.

Rainbow Summer by Pix Story

Good Composition is a key element of good photographs yet is something that is hard to define.
Instead of looking at composition as a set of ‘rules’ to follow – I view it as a set of ingredients that can be taken out of the pantry at any point and used to make a great ‘meal’ (photograph). Alternatively I’ve often described it as a set of ‘tools’ that can be taken out of one’s compositional tool belt at any given time in the construction of a great image.

Introducing to you Rainbow Summer by Pix Story. Leonard Chua is one of the best photographer I've seen and met who is very dedicated at what he is doing; photography.

The sizzling hot summer is here again. Its a chance for all the cool dude and hot babe to show case their body and also a sense of fashion into the summer wear....on top of their swim wear.First time ever and a tiring one, we went on a small trip over sea and get to have a chance to use a gorgeous clean blue sea and sky as our backdrop. This is a season of colors and its interesting to see colors into swim wear and pool side fashion.

The key is to remember that in the same way as a chef rarely uses all the ingredients at their disposal in any dish – that a photographer rarely uses all of the ingredients of composition in the making of an image.

Every image needs a basic structure. Without an underlying structure, it is just another boring photo. Every image needs strong underlying compositional order so that it grabs the eye from a hundred feet away.
If it can't grab the eye from a distance, it will never be an interesting photo, regardless of how many fine details it might have. Details don't matter if there's no story behind it.

GOOD LIGHTING.

GOOD FRAMING.

GOOD COMPOSITON.
GOOD FOREGROUND AND BACK GROUND.

A Day Before The Lomo Event feat. SpunkPunkFunk and IssacRitz.com

It was fun but nerve-wrecking! A day before the event, Jen and I went over to the Lomography store which is located at 295 South Bridge Road, to set up!

Hella-lots-of-fun! Thanks Kenneth for the opportunity once again!

Multi-Talented Angel x Diana F+ Instant Camera

Angel Lin is a freelance model, dancer and actress. She's also a full time paralegal. PARALEGAL? What's that you may ask? Paralegal is a paraprofessional who has the required education and experience to assist licensed lawyers in their legal work. Am I surprised? - Yes!

Not only is Angel pretty but she is a smart woman too!  She believes in living and pursuing her dreams; no matter how big or small they may be. She is someone who does not give up easily and she always trust herself to give in her best in everything she does.

She believes that smiles are contagious and that if she smile, the whole world will smile along with her.
I've worked with Angel many times and one thing I know about this pretty lady here, she doesn't flare up or give any attitude problems on set, in a fashion show and in a photoshoots. NO AIRS AT ALL.

Angel will be gracing the
INSTANT MAKEOVER Blue Hour Party at 295 South Bridge Road, #01-01, Singapore 058838. Come down to support her on the 16th of May, 1900HRS - 2200HRS.
