My Virgin Trip to Lady M

Lady M® Confections is the pioneer of the well-loved Mille Crêpe cake. Its signature cake Lady M® Mille Crêpes, features no less than twenty paper-thin handmade crêpes layered with ethereal light pastry cream, gently caramelized on top until golden.

Combining French pastry techniques with Japanese etiquette of precision, Lady M® Confections prides itself on creating the freshest and finest cakes and confectionary delights. Since opening its first 600sq ft cake boutique in New York’s Upper East Side in 2001, Lady M® has assembled a phenomenal little black book of fans state-side, from the likes of domestic goddess Martha Stewart, to Supermodel, Linda Evangelista and Japanese fashion designer, Issey Miyake – and now she’s in Asia. Simply head on down to their cake boutiques located at Orchard Central and One Fullerton to get a taste of our world-famous Signature Mille Crêpes alongside a selection of delectable sweet and savory offerings.

The Gateau Nuage means 'Cloud Cake', and is an apt description for this airy whipped cheesecake on a cinnamon infused, crumbly graham cracker crust. Topped with a thin layer of sweet cream, the Gateau Nuage is silky, smooth, and light... Perfect as a cheesecake! 

Their version of the classic Red Velvet Cake features three layers of dark cocoa-rich sponge cake with smooth frosting concocted from fresh whipped cream and cream cheese tucked between each layer. Certainly one of the most decadent cakes from the Lady M collection.

Canopy Garden Dining & Bar

If you are looking for the right cafe to chill out while enjoying some serenity away from the bustling city, then this would be it. The menu at Canopy is not the most impressive, but the array of egg-related dishes should suffice to please. Do try out their Egg Sardou (S$21) – poached eggs served on artichoke hearts and truffles drizzled with an overflowing amount of hollandaise sauce.

Outdoor seats are available so you can bring your fur-kids along!

On the whole, the dishes from Canopy Garden Dining emphasizes in providing healthy dining options to its patrons. If you love delicate and subtle flavours for health reasons, Canopy Garden Dining is definitely the right place to go. 

Mushroom soup was not bad. However for $8 it is a little pricey.

The pizza was alittle less than impress.

Pan Seared Salmon from Canopy Garden Bar – pan seared salmon on a bed of mashed potatoes & a healthy combination of leek, lettuce, green peas, vegetable broth and bacon.

Essentially a well-cooked salmon in a comforting light broth designed to simulate a grandmother’s protective warm hug.

Pork Rack was tender and soft and the sauce was heavenly. Mash potato was YUMMYLICIOUS! Perfecto.
