Robert Pattinson Got Into Argument With Adele

Robert Pattinson got into an argument with Adele when he tried to give her career advice.

The 'Twilight Saga' star revealed he was at a party when he said 'the most ridiculous thing' ever to the 'Someone Like You' hitmaker, advising her to reach for her goals, and woke up the next morning regretting his words.

Speaking on Canada's 'George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight', he explained: 'Actually I had this argument with Adele, which is probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever said. I was saying, 'You know, you can really just like reach for it,' and she was like, 'You do realise I am like the biggest-selling female artist ever?'

'And I just for some reason just decided to get into an argument with her.

'I woke up the next day really regretting the whole thing.'

Rihanna gave Adele a cake shaped like breasts to celebrate her 24th birthday.

She sent the sponge cake with pink icing and strategically placed iced gems to Adele's north London home with a cheeky message featuring a topless picture of herself, which she then tweeted.

The message read: "Happy Birthday to my lover Adele."

She also added: "To Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, the baddest bitch around. Have the best freaking Bday. Cake cake cake xxx (sic)."

Adele has overtaken Michael Jackson in the UK's all-time biggest selling albums list, according to the Official Charts Company.

The singer's second album '21' has now sold 4,274,300 copies in the UK, 500 more than Jackson's 1982 classic. '21' has sold an average of 20,000 copies per week over the last four weeks.

"There will be a new song, probably coming out at the end of the year. But then it depends how quickly I write some other new songs," Adele said in an interview.

Although her fresh single is coming out this year but the album will take at least two years to complete.

"If I didn't write my own songs, I'd be out next week with a new album. I have to take time and live a little bit. There were a good two years between my first and second albums, so it'll be the same this time," said Adele.

Adele has invited new friend Robbie Williams to stay at her haunted mansion so they can go ghost-hunting.


The stars met at the Brit Awards four years ago and have remained in contact since.

So, the Grammy Award winner has invited the ‘Take That’ stud and his wife Ayda to stay in her 7-million-pound mansion in Sussex and get down with everything supernatural.

“Adele’s often said she hates staying at home alone in the mansion because she’s sure it’s haunted and she gets spooked,” the Daily Star quoted a source as saying.

“She knows Robbie and Ayda are fascinated by the supernatural and has offered to have them to stay for a haunted weekend any time they like.Adele thinks they are both fantastic and would love to spend some time sharing ghost stories and witnessing para¬normal activity."

Adele cut short amid triumph

Adele has won two prizes at the Brit Awards ceremony in London, but was at the centre of controversy after one of her acceptance speeches was cut short.

Her speech was halted after she picked up the prize for best British album. She also won best British female.

"I flung the middle finger. That was for the suits at the Brit Awards, not my fans. I'm sorry if I offended anyone but the suits offended me," she said.

Adele's album has now spent a total of 20 weeks at No. 1, giving it the longest run at the top spot since Whitney Houston's soundtrack to "The Bodyguard" racked up 20 weeks in the pole position beginning in late 1992.

Can anyone stop Adele from scoring Album Of The Year? Because, face it, 21 really was the album of the year.

The album is really well-produced but it’s A HUGE MINUS for Rihanna that she didn’t do anything other that put her vocals on it. Her nomination is her win.
