Everyone should take pride in themselves, and present themselves to the world with a good, positive attitude. However, there is a difference between being proud and being cocky and conceited.
Conceit is like having a big blemish on your face; it does stand out, but the attention that a person receives may be for his bad manners, not his looks. However, a good, healthy and proud attitude in the way you carry yourself can take a person far.
There's this fine line between those people who exhibit an aura of confidence and those people who are cocky. It's one thing to know your job, do it well and not make other feels inferior to you if they don't understand a particular thing. It's another thing to know your job, do it well and make people feel like an ass when they don't understand something or mess it up.
There's also the people who are attractive and self assured who don't come off like they're better than you. I hate the person (usually males) who are extremely easy on the eye, know how to dress yet they know they're attractive and they make sure YOU know that THEY know they're hotter than fuck as well.
I can't stand this type of person because I just want to scream, "Get the fuck over yourself already!" And usually there are several things I could pick out about the Wanna Be Brad Pitt's that would have their ego's come crashing to the floor anyway.
