The Sharing Session; Phobia

There was a boy who is once timid of things he is shy, practical and aware of himself and his surrounding meticulously.

One fine day, he went to the Sentosa beach with his friends - 13 of them. They decided to have a picnic at the beach. As the hours passed, they got more adventurous including the boy. They decided to stand on the swaying bridge and rock it from side to side. Then suddenly, the bridge swayed too much and caused 8 of them to fall into the water and the boy was one of them.

Out of the eight, 6 were girls and the other 2 were guys. And out of the eight, 3 were non-swimmers. One of the guy rescued the other two girls and the rest went back to shore but unknowingly, the boy couldn’t swim and none knew about it.

Seconds after noticing that the boy didn’t resurface, they realized that he can’t swim. His friends immediately rescued him. In the end, all went well, the boy was rescued but he had a phobia of swimming or going into the waters again.

3 years later, he was enlisted to N.S. And unfortunately, one fine day, all the guys have to know how to swim. And those non-swimmers have to learn. They boy felt afraid.

Every single time he had to go for swimming lessons, he faked illness; sprain ankles, sprain hand till one fine day he couldn’t think of any reasons any more for not going to lessons.

As many lessons passed, most of the non-swimmers know how to at least swim breast strokes. And then it daunt him.

All the while he has been giving excuses to escape reality. If he hadn’t gave all those excuses, he could have become a swimmer.

And so he realized he had to accept the truth, and stop giving excuses. He needed to learn to improve and to be not afraid of the waters.

This fine boy who is now a swimmer still has to overcome another obstacles. This boy like to socialize with people, make new friends and see people smile.

But this same boy has another phobia which is speeches, presentations in a meeting.

Many months back, he went for his meeting with the PRC. He was asked to demonstrate his selling skills to the PRC but in the end, he falter. His speeches were all over the places. He failed.

Then he started to have a phobia yet again. But this time round, he told himself not to be the boy who always gave excuses to himself. That way he wouldn’t grow.

After 3 or 4 meetings later, he was asked to demonstrate his selling skills again. He hesitated at first but he told himself not to falter again. And you know what, he felt at ease. He did it.
Morals of the story;

1 - Do not be afraid to try new things.

2 - Do not give excuses to the things that you are afraid to do, instead overcome your fear. That way you can become a better person.

3- There’s always more than one road to success and not to be stuck to just one road else your knowledge will be limited.

Silly

I was singing to my other half to vice out my inner feelings an emotions but I was cut off halfway as my other half's friend called. I know it could be important but I was trying to be romantic.

I don't have a great voice.

I can't sing.

But I try.

I tried to be romantic.

This Is My Song

Marie Digby, you just made me cry listening to this song of yours. Marie Digby, your lyrics reflected on how lonely I was in secondary school. Your lyrics reflected on my life in secondary school.

Theres a girl
Who sits under the bleachers
Just another day eating alone
And though she smiles
There is something she's hiding
And she cant find a way to relate
She just goes unnoticed
As the crowd passes by
And she'll pretend to be busy
When inside she just wants to cry
She'll say...

Chorus

Take a little look at the life of Miss Always Invisible
Look a little closer, I really really want you to put yourself in her shoes
Take another look at the face of Miss Always Invisible
Look a little harder and maybe then you will see why she waits for the day
When you'll ask her her name

In the beginning, in the first weeks of class
She did everything to try and fit in
But the others they couldnt seem to get past all the things that mismatched on the surface
And she would close her eyes when they laughed and she fell down the stairs
And the more that they joked
And the more that they screamed
She retreated to where she is now
And she'll sing...

Chorus

Take a little look at the life of Miss Always Invisible
Look a little harder I really really want you to put yourself in her shoes
Take a little look at the face of Miss Always Invisible
Look a little closer and maybe then you will see why she waits for the day that you will ask her...her name

And one day just the same as the last
Just the days spent in counting the time
Came a boy who sat under the bleachers just a little bit further behind

Its really good to know that you've become a singer.

I don't have a great voice like yours to tell people how I feel.

But I have a blog to voice my thoughts.

I love your song; Miss Invisible.

Tomorrow

I always want to know what tomorrow will be like. I want to see whats in store for me tomorrow today. I wish today was tomorrow.

But its impossible to know how tomorrow will be like.

The best way to see tomorrow is by going to bed tonight.

S.N.O.R.E

When you are really tired, you will S.N.O.R.E!

I can't sleep 'coz someone is SNORING.

Uncool Remarks

So one day, at that very particular time, the song which was playing at my outlet was abit of a trance and dance.

And there a group of Junior Colleges students commented, "Why must Ah beng listen to Trance and dance music?"

That was when I rolled my eyes.

What a remark!

I am not an Ah beng! Just because I dyed my hair silver and it so happened that the song played that time was trance does not make me an Ah beng.

Geez.

This is my 5th irritating encounter I had with junior colleges students.

Let me get this clear, being a student of any junior colleges doesn't make you any smarter than us. And by giving such remarks, it only show your stupidity.

I remembered when I was 13, I was really dorky. I was seated in front of two junior colleges students and guess what they did to me?

Junior college student number 1, "Oh, he look so nerdy. Look at his hair. Gel until so thick and hard."

Number 2, "And he look so nerdy. Oh my god."

Arnolds Fried Chicken, Then Hans

Being a food lover, I tend to go to many places in Singapore in search of good food. The bad part is, my stomach will grow bigger by the day! LOL!

If you have never been to Arnolds Fried Chicken before, you should! Because the Spring chicken there is awesomely delicious!

It is located at City Plaza level 2.

Then Eric and I went to meet up with Joanne!

We went to Hans located near Holland V.

The service there was good but the food, - I have to think twice of going there again.

I was terribly disappointed with the vanilla milkshake which cost 4 bucks. It practically tasted like H.L Milk.

I might as well bought a H.L milk which will only cost me 2 bucks. Gees.

My 2nd Year Anniversary Gift

My honey bought a HTC Dream hp and also bought a very cool pouch for the hp!

Thank you baby for the wonderful gift!

I love you forever!

My Daiso Purchase!

I bought something to scent my room and also a container to store the scented flowers.

Cheap purchase and guess what, they sell Halloween hats!

Va Va Vivocity

I went to Vivocity with Eric again to have dinner and watch movie! But nowadays, Vivocity is getting really boring to shop at.

The western food fail completely!
