The Nightlife; Attica (Supporting AFA)

Night life at Clarke Quay. It was a beautiful sight.

Clubbing again!

It has been months since I met my godbrother, Ivan. I'm glad I met up with him.

Ivan pointing at me, "Finally, Isaac smiles on camera."

Hmmm... And I inflated my nose.

I like the above photo. Love it!

After minutes of walking, we finally reached Clarke Quay!

The camera's flash was too bright that I blinked. My eyes looked swollen. *Laughs* That was the second time I clubbed with Zann.

Three is a crowd.

Ivan's clothes look weird. Yellow and black.. err..

It has been 5 years since I last saw my primary school classmate, Riduan. I was glad I bumped into him weeks ago. I've known him for more than 12 years.

I love my eyes.

I should smile more often.

There was a big mirror behind us. Thus, that's what cause the relfected light.

They are best friends and avid clubbers. Haha!

Did you see that in the photo?

Evil twin, "No leh! See what?"

Wee wit! The lady was dancing only in her bra and pants.

Now let Idris and Zann teach you how to dance the sexy dance.

Thrust your hands in the air wildly.

Shake your body like nobody's business.

And groove it!

I was one crazy bitch on the dancefloor dancing from midnight till 3 in the morning without stopping or having my toilet break.
I went to support AFA. Seriously, I'm not a party-goer anymore.

Then we walked to a prata shop at Boat Quay.

How many people can really use a camera properly?

Wah seh! Stupid cameraman! So blurry! Blame it on the prataman!

I'm Not Gossip Free (But I Don't Care)

Why do we gossip? What's the pay-off, the motivation?

Something to talk about, storytelling impulse, but juicy stories can only safely be shared in a community where the main characters aren't known. It's a fact- "the community is going to know something eventually, so I may as well tell it."

There's a competitiveness to it. People think they're "just venting." But sometimes it's slander!
People will say they're telling something for the person's own good. That can be patronizing. There's drama in other people's stories. But - the fact it's a terrific story does not always justify the repeating of it. Some things are very private - e.g. if someone's been molested - you wouldn't tell that.

"This culture does not assume the kind of openness I had growing up."

Ever since I was young, I was not spared from people who always gossip. Yes, I do gossip too but not to the extend that will damage one's reputation. I have friends; friends who gossiped alot and friends who does not gossip at all.

"I'm not a big gossip but I like to talk. I know people who are religiously observant-they're not to talk about people at all, because even starting to praise someone could lead to bad statements/intentions."

I just realized that most of my friends are 'gosssipers'. And yes, I dare to say it here.

Now, all I want to do is to sit by the balcony and indulge myself in classicals, gaze at the skies, and let my mind drift to a place where nobody exists.

People are easily influenced.

Take for example;

I was together with 'A' for half a year and it only started to fall apart when 'E' came into the picture. My relationship with 'A' was already bad enough when my relationship with 'A''s friends started to sour.

And the most ironic part was that 'A' got angry too when logically I did nothing wrong to 'A'. I was flabbergasted when I realized that 'A' was rather indecisive with decisions and listened to every word 'A''s friends said.

Was I not only upset, I was disappointed that things turned sour due to rumors that weren't true. That was when I seek solace in 'E'. And soon after, we became emotionally attached to one another.

A perfect relationship was ended and a new one was formed not too long after I broke up with 'A'.

Then, I was enlisted in National Service. I thought, and I knew that 'E' would be true to me. I spread my wings and even took the time to buy 'E' a phone and line when I knew 'E' does not have any handphone. I did everything.

Weeks later, I knew I was cheated when I accidentally chanced upon a few messages that destroyed 'E''s perfect image in my mind. I decided to part with 'E'

And that's when things got nasty.

'E' turned the table on me and psychoed everyone, I mean EVERYONE, including my friends, my buddies, that I was a FLIRT.

Flabbergasted I was. The rumor spread like a wildfire.

I started to observe from reading 'E''s blog and others only to know that what 'E' onced called me can only be directed to 'E'.

"There's a fine line between a flirt and someone who sleeps around."

Different kind of stories of me were made up. I swear they were malicious to burn the forestry in Indonesia.

I told myself these were nothing compared to those that had happened to my close friend. A friend that was so dear to me. A friend who committed suicide upon hearing gossips about her being pregnant.

"We never talked about anyone's business and never shared anything about ourselves either. It took me awhile to learn that not revealing feelings and information can be just as harmful to relationships as sharing too much."

Yes, I did not put in my best effort in school. I scored a big F. And everyone else scored at least a C for their Math.

Instead of comforting me, a few sniggered at me, looked down on me. And words of me failing terribly spread to the whole compound.

Some people are not aware that what they're saying or doing is hurtful. The hurt party may need to say something.

Now, I decided to take a step back to enjoy the world instead of aggressively pushing myself to work hard and still be a gossip magnet.

It's always good to keep a diary or journal. It doesn't have to be fancy, or wordy, or confessional. Just make sure that you're recording information about your accomplishments. Even an ordinary day spent in a good mood is a kind of accomplishment. Whenever you feel as thought your life is worthless, fraudulent, or otherwise rotten, refer to this diary as a much-needed reminder of happier times. More will come.

It's not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.
*Update: I didn't clarify certain things. I had to cut short the stories. In all, EVERYONE has a bad point. So do I. Nobody's perfect. I'm no longer looking backwards and I'm no longer seeing what I've seen. I hold grudges against no one. this cherade has to end.

Cocky Vs Confidence

Everyone should take pride in themselves, and present themselves to the world with a good, positive attitude. However, there is a difference between being proud and being cocky and conceited.

Conceit is like having a big blemish on your face; it does stand out, but the attention that a person receives may be for his bad manners, not his looks. However, a good, healthy and proud attitude in the way you carry yourself can take a person far.

There's this fine line between those people who exhibit an aura of confidence and those people who are cocky. It's one thing to know your job, do it well and not make other feels inferior to you if they don't understand a particular thing. It's another thing to know your job, do it well and make people feel like an ass when they don't understand something or mess it up.

There's also the people who are attractive and self assured who don't come off like they're better than you. I hate the person (usually males) who are extremely easy on the eye, know how to dress yet they know they're attractive and they make sure YOU know that THEY know they're hotter than fuck as well.

I can't stand this type of person because I just want to scream, "Get the fuck over yourself already!" And usually there are several things I could pick out about the Wanna Be Brad Pitt's that would have their ego's come crashing to the floor anyway.

Danced The Night Away

It was one of those nights when I danced myself away without having a break. I was glued to the dancefloor from midnight to 3 in the morning. And that's the time when I slowed down, catch a breather and rest at the couch.

Darn it, I'm too tired to update my blog. My legs are so wobbly now! I need a rest!
Dancing is a good form of exercise.

The beauty about dancing is that you can get out of it exactly what you want. You can set your own pace. I can lose myself in the music and the steps, performing them with high energy or low, depending on how I feel.

Perhaps to me one of the greatest things about dancing as opposed to other forms of exercise is that you exercise your mind as well as your body. Racquet sports and other games tend to focus on competition or be repetitive - like hitting a ball over and over or running around and around with no particular end in sight.

Death Note; Killing Spree

In the beginning of Death Note, we learn that shinigami--gods of death--kill people by writing their names down in notebooks known as (what else?) Death Notes (it's worth noting, pun intended, that in Japanese, "note" is the English loan word for "notebook").

Ryuk is a shinigami who has managed to get his hands on a second Death Note. To alleviate his boredom, he drops it in the human world, where it's soon found by Light Yagami, a high school prodigy.

Light harbors some unusual notions about crime and punishment. Once he discovers that the notebook actually works, he becomes determined to use it to rid the world of evil. He begins killing known criminals en masse--and meanwhile suggests that one day, he will surreptitiously begin killing off corrupt and "useless" people as well.

Ryuk, fascinated by Light's behavior but continuing to maintain that he's neither on Light's side nor on that of the authorities, is content to follow Light around and observe him.

Whatever it is, to cut the story short. He killed himself and the notebook landed on me. Me I say.

So I thought, maybe, I should start killing people.

Whose name shall I write?

Oh ...

"Wo de yi ker xin ... Muack muack."

Right...

I shall kill her by ...

Cause of death; strangled by a pantyhose.

Let's change the rule abit.

Sadako has been a pain in the butt. Really. And she needs a make-over to something cute and nice.

Perfect!

Free Lattes; Make It Two

Yesterday, I did not have the time to go to the nearest Spinelli for free lattes. I just realized that free food/drinks do taste nice ... sometimes.

Evil twin: Cheapo!

Yes, two lattes please.

Of course, I only drank one glass. The other was for my friend.

Okay, facial expressions don't really often tell how the person feel at that very moment. Seriously, the latte was nice.

My First Owned Bag

Finally, after a gazillion year, I owned my first bag. I don't usually buy bag because it seems redundant. But just recently, I realize I have to bring alot of things out when I'm out with my friends. So I need a carrier; a bag.

For me, I rather buy clothes. More clothes. Tons of clothes. Gazillion of them. Christmas is coming and let me re-emphasize again, I want new clothes! Maybe shoes or jeans. Christmas CDs would be nice.

Josh, where's my bag?

I bought myself a Zinc bag. It looks really trendy and it's affordable; 35 dollars.

But Hakim told me that the bag, Zinc, is of poor durability. I'll see how it goes. And if one day, it wears and tears, I'll buy a new one, probably Gucci.

I'm carrying a bag but what do I usually bring?

Now that I have a bag, I can put anything I want inside. *Grins*

My first item; Another bag, this one alot smaller.

Evil twin: Alot of things sia!

I'm not a stay home kind of guy. Most weekends, I would stay out, usually on Fridays. So toiletries are a must for me.

And in the second compartment, I keep my most essential stuffs; my contact lense, eye drop, the contact lense solution and Sanjin watermelon frost.

Evil twin: Sanjin watermelon frost? Where's the watermelon?

It's a solution for ulcers in the mouth, you dimwit!

And of course, ...

... when I decided to get naughty.

No, I'm just kidding. I don't carry condom around with me.

Evil twin: Then why is it doing in your small bag.

I'll tell you that in another entry.

Whenever I club or do strenous activities, I sweat and smell horrible. (Okay, I'm kidding on that part)

So I will always bring a deodrant and cologne with me.

I only use Gatsby.

My discman; it is the old fashion type and a few CDs, Jewel Kilcher, Sarah Mclachlan and Utada Hikaru.

And in the small compartment, I keep my coins, wallet and handphone.

I always carry a weapon with me just in case someone decides to rob me.

Tadah! A chopper!

Don't be silly, I don't carry these kind of stuffs and it's illegal, well, at least to me.

Christmas; Beautiful Sightings at Orchard

nThis year, they are hyping up Singapore with a lot of fanciful decorations. This only happens once in many years.

The whole of Orchard is litted up with lights, even the dustbins are decorated.

This year, I expect alot of parties.

This year, I won't be going to the crowded Orchard or do the countdown at Suntec City during Christmas Eve.

It's always the same old thing every year so I want to try something different this year.

I want to have a quiet Christmas with those I love.

Spend quality time with them.

So where will you be during Christmas?

Christmas at Paragon

My eyes are so small that I can't even see it for myself when I look at this photo time and again.

Dazzling stars.

And I end this entry with a photo of...

Me, me, me. I'm obsessed with myself.
