Just Do It

I remember back when I first learned to swim.

A basket-case kid... I just wanted to feel secure, knowing someone had my back and I wasn't going to get hurt.

See, I knew others who had been hurt and needed CPR. So at the time...

... my fear seemed real.

I wanted to be sure someone was looking out for me, so I could learn and not drown myself.

Truth is, I was terrified.

I would sit on the side of the pool with my feet in the water...

...never making the leap.

Sometimes you don't know for sure if you're going to succeedor if you're going to drown fast.

Today I remember back and imagine

... "What if I gave into my fears?"

... "What if i let the worse-case scenariobecome my future?"

After being scared, sweating and shaking in fear, not able to put a sentence together....

I finally made a decision and jumped.

Needless to say, I lived.

You see, the moment I thought of giving up...

...turned out to be my biggest success.

Now, I was a kid at the time, but I see this phenomenon happening through people's adult lives as well.

Something where you've seen people succeeding, knowing it can be done...

...and you react with fear and insecurity not sure if you will get the same results. JUST DO IT!
