Lindsay Lohan's My Idol

The tumultuous lives of the Lohans’ seemed to come to a peak during all of the in and out of prison stints by Michael Lohan Sr. Then, in December of 2005 the couple legally separated and in August of 2007 the couple announced that their divorce had been finalized.

Many commented that Lindsay and her siblings didn’t seem all that phased by the finalization of the divorce because their parents had been distant and anything but loving for years. Some insiders say that Lindsay did suffer emotionally from the divorce but didn’t want to show her sadness to the world.

While Lindsay’s home life was anything but picture perfect she continued to develop as a beautiful and precocious child. This development allowed for Lindsay to begin a career in modeling at a young age. By the age of three Lindsay was signed on with one of the most prestigious modeling agencies in the world, Ford Models.

Many didn’t think she would go anywhere because this is the time when blonde haired blue eyed children were in demand in the industry, but this did not deter Lindsay, her agents, and her family. In the end, Lindsay would have more than 100 print ads for Toys R Us, Calvin Klein, and Abercrombie Kids under her belt.

Her experience as a small child allowed for her to appear in even more magazines as she entered adolescence and she appeared in big name magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Bliss, Uau Kny6, and Blenda.

Of course, Lindsay’s love for the spotlight wasn’t limited to print work; the advertisements simply served as a natural segue for commercial work.

Lindsay would prove to do well with this form of entertainment as well, and as a child she appeared in many commercials and was even in commercials for well known products like Jello-O where she shared the spotlight with the likes of Bill Cosby. Lindsay would also appear in commercials for brands such as The Gap, Pizza Hut, Wendy’s, and more. In short, Lindsay’s face was seen everywhere!

Lindsay would go onto make her leap into acting when she tried out for and got the role of Ali Fowler in the soap opera Another World. It would be just a short time before she was offered the role where she would play the part of two twin sisters in the well known movie The Parent Trap, a role that she would accept in trade for the role that she had been playing on Another World.

Of course, this was just the beginning of Lindsay’s acting career as she would go on to star in quite a few made for television movies and would even appear in a short lived comedy series with Bette Midler.

At less than 20 Lindsay Lohan had already achieved more than most children ever dream that they could achieve, but Lindsay wasn’t done yet. At just 15 years old Lilo would sign a five album record production deal with Estefan Enterprises and then she signed a recording contract with Casablanca Records the following year.

For such a young girl Lindsay Lohan seemed to have it all and she was on the fast track to true and long lasting success. Of course, if her childhood was any indication of the future many would have predicted that Lindsay would experience personal struggles along the way.

Of course, now Lindsay has many fans that have been with her since she was a child, which is not something that most actors and actresses can say.
