A Tinge Of Disappointment

Thunder rumbled outside as the morning skies grew darker with each passing moment. And soon, it rained. I was awakened by the thunder and the cold wind that was blowing into my opened window.

Cold and tired. Each hour, I would open my eyes slightly to see if you messaged me but you didn't. Time passed swiftly but there was still no beep from my cellular.

And then afternoon came.

I was a little disappointed that you did not message me when you woke up and when you had to leave your house to meet your friend. I was pondering, "Should I message you first since I had always done that every time."

I waited.

And waited. But it did not happen.
