HuaLong Fish Head Steamboat

A few days ago, we were at Hua Long Fish Head Steamboat savoring the delicious dishes.

We were served Hualong Curry Fishhead (Red Snapper), Japanese Melon Prawn Tossed with Wasabi & Bonito Flakes, Stir-fried Lala with Chef's Butter Garlic, Pan-seared Sea Scallop with Conpoy & US Asparagus, Pan-fried Seafood Stuffed Beancurd, Signature Wok-fried White Beehoon on Opeh Leaf and sweetened Mashed Taro with Gingko Nuts.

Stir-Fried Lala with Chef's Butter Garlic: The Stir Fried Lalas were so fresh. Very savory, with a distinct fragrance of the garlic.

Signature Wok-fried White Bee Hoon: The ingredients for this dish are simple (like eggs, lala, prawns, and fishcake), but what we really liked about it was the fact that the bee hoon absorbed the sauce totally, so each mouthful was constant in taste and delightfully flavorful.

Pan-seared Sea Scallop with Conpoy & US Asparagus.

It was like having a party in my mouth. The scallops were really fresh, fat and juicy, and the sauce gives it a sweet-salty taste when taken together.

HuaLong Curry Fishhead (Red Snapper). Since the name is Hualong Fishhead Steamboat, they are of course famous for their fishhead steamboat! I love their Curry Fishhead (Red Snapper) which was almost spicy and tantalizing.

Pan-fried Seafood Stuffed Beancurd. Although I am not a BIG fan of beancurd but the ones at Hua Long was pan-fried really well and with the seafood stuffings, they were actually quite tantalizing.

Japanese Melon Prawn Tossed with Wasabi & Bonito Flakes. This is the first time I've come across such a dish. It was well presented. The prawns were huge, crispy and hot. The salad sauce and grapes made the overall dish good. I dug out the honeydew to eat too!

The Sweetened Mashed Taro with Gingo Nuts was total sweetness. Love. Love. Love. You have got to try this dessert!
