Surf 'n' Turf Restaurant

Last Sunday, I went to Surf 'n' Turf with my other half. The food there are fabulous but somehow my other half just find them okay. Well, the bill chalks up to 49 dollars.

To me, I think it's worth dining there!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Fish Fillet. The fish fillet is mouth watering but they only serve a small portion.

And then there was the clam chowder.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I rate it 4/5!

I ordered latte since there was no shakes.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Absolutely delicious!

My other half settled with Fish and Chips. In the end, I was the one dipping my fish fillet into the cup of sauce.

Overall, I rate the food at Surf 'n' Turf 3.9/5.

Giveaways

Thanks to Taufik who forwarded me an e-mail to enter a so-called lucky draw. I'd won myself a 2 months free membership at California Fitness and a movie pass. Seriously, I am not a gym kind of guy.

So as to share what I'd won, I e-mailed to 5 of my classmates to regards of the draw. Fortunate enough, they'd won too! The caller advised us to collect it by tomorrow if we want the movie ticket and free membership.

But if we collect after 1st June, we will only get the free membership. I thought I would get an umbrella suggested in the e-mail but then was later confirmed by the caller that I received movie ticket instead.

I shall blog one more entry before June 1st and then I will resume blogging after 5th June. As for now, you might as well read my archives while waiting for my next entry to come up!

Till then, see ya around soon!

Author's note: Those were suggestions of what to buy for my birthday for those who wants to buy presents but are clueless of what to buy. So if you want to buy, those are of my likings. Cheers!

WWE

I got a shock of my life when I saw this huge guy jumping onto an already unconcious woman. Eh, I'm not into wrestling so I am not sure of their names. I just so happen to switch channel 5 and saw this guy already in the air and about to squash her to death.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Why did they pair her up with an opposite sex? I thought it was suppose to be a battle with the same sex? Have they changed the concepts? Are they out of their mind? It is impossible for women in the wrestling arena to win against guys regardless whether they are muscular, fat or skinny.

Okay, maybe not skinny and if the woman is muscular.

As expected, paramedics came.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Then, the cameraman focused on her big boobs.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Wait! Something is amiss! I saw her slightly opening her eyes and her fingers were moving.

Evil Twin: Aiyah! Must be fake! Everyone thought that the man had squash her but he did not. He was pretending to fall on her and she pretended to be unconcious.

The lady wrestler: Can you shut up?

Expensive!

Now that the movie ticket price has increased, I think twice of watching movies. Two days ago while I was passing by the Cathay Cineleisure, I was surprised.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The ticketing counters looked deserted. And the couple in front of me were deciding on whether they should watch movie or spent the time walking around or maybe dining at restaurants serving great food.

Theorically, people would form a long queue to buy tickets since it's a SUNDAY and a public holiday the day after.

Silly You

Don't be silly. I will still be blogging but I just do not have the time to do so. It's not that I've graduated and won't be blogging anymore. Where did you get that idea from?

I re-arranged all the files and folders in my laptop accordingly. It's really in a mess I must say.

And I am going to recommend you an online game, TS. You ought to play it; it's like R.O.S.E online and is a mixture of pokemon, ragnarok, dynasty warriors and maple story.

Funny thing is that you can capture different kinds of weird beings like scarecrows, vegetables, meat pao, egg pao and many more.

You can either buy the CD at 7-11. It's attached to this magazine name Playworks. It's only five dollars or if you prefer not to waste your money, you can download the game at http://ts.gameflier.com.my

So what you waiting for? Go play it.

Recently, I heard alot about A3, the new game in town. I'm not sure whether I should try it. It seems interesting.

West Coast Park

Since Exams are over, we decided to go out to relieve our stress and have a bit of fun. We chose to go to West Coast Park over Sentosa and Marina South. Our plan wasn't going smooth sailing as a few of us were late and we did not know how to get to the location.

There weren't any buses from Clementi so we decided to board a bus to Jurong East Interchange and then board the bus number 143 or 51. So much hassle just to get to one place.

Upon reaching, we realized we had stopped 7 stops away from the place. We had to walk 3200meters. Far it was and the sun was blazing at us. But all was good when we reached West Coast Park.

The sun wasn't all that hot anymore.

We went to the Adventure playground and tested out every single slides and balanced beams and flying fox etc. We felt like little kids.

Salimie tried to balanced himself on the beams. Somehow there was a weird expression on his face that was telling us that he was afraid even though the beams were like onlt a few centimeters off the ground.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Devi decided to try to walk on the beams.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

She was shouting to the top of her voice as she walked to the end of the beam. Somehow, at certain times, Devi could not balance herself on the beam and had Erna to help her till she reach to the end.

Then Erna went to the swing section. She sat on it and pretended to be a lonely depress girl.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Rahila joined her.

And then posed for the camera.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

We played another game and that is to reach to the top and whoever was last is the loser.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Somehow the girls manage to beat the guys. They were at the top before us. I did not want to be last so I decided to spped up my pace.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I was third! Salimie tried his best. You can see his expression of wanting to reach to the top badly in the picture.

And then we proceeded to the flying fox.

Erna was hanging mid-air. She did not make it to the end.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

We had lots of fun. The skies threathened to rain so we had to seek for shelter.

Released

How dumb I could be of mistaking a few of the questions in the papers with the other few that I'd studied in the book. Seriously, only 1/4 of what I studied came out. I regret not coming to the extra lesson that was conducted yesterday evening.

All that was taught came out. I was stressed to find out that I had done a few of the questions wrongly after further discussions with my classmates after the examinations. It was my fault for studying only hours before the exams.

Finally, it's over. I have finished my studies. I will really miss my friends.

Evil Twin: Yeah, yeah! Stop talking about your schools and your friends and your classmates. Get over it and move on to another topic of interests to others.

Confession! - How I dislike my class advisor. No, initially I do not hate him but ever since he started bossing me around and dumping his work to me, I really hate him alot.

Evil Twin: Oi! Your classmates will read this and might complain to him!

Be my guest...

Oh, I nearly forgot! I LOVE YOU MY FRIENDS!

Food = Stomachache

At 11, I ate chye por omelette and then drank a glass of coke. However, I still felt hungry. I opened my refrigerator and took two bars of kit kat. Yum yum! And then drank coke again.

Still not enough, I went back to the kitchen and ate two sambal eggs and then drank 1 glass of cold water. Finally, full.

Minutes later, everything mixed up in my stomach and created an uneasy feeling. I hate myself for eating a mixture of spicy and cold food together with coke and cold water.

I feel like puking!

Anyhow, I have not studied for my exams yet. Probably later. I'm not sure yet. I still feel like puking.

"Two are better than one..."

I've discovered friendship works like a see saw. I saw a couple of kids the other day enjoying the warmer weather we had by playing on a see saw.

I noticed that when one kid was enjoying being up high the other one was the counter-weight and had to be down on the ground, then the one down low would spring his legs and go up and the other kid would go down.

Friendship is like that - sometimes we self-disclose and the other one listens, other times we're the listener and the other party to the friendship is the one doing the talking.

Vulnerability is the fulcrum or balance point that let's someone ride to the top. Two friends who are not being vulnerable is like taking a board and laying it flat on the ground and saying here - play with this board. It doesn't do anything!

One final thing I want to mention about being a good friend is that to be a good close friends you've got to be LOYAL. True friends are most noticeable during tough times.

When we are hurting, broke, accused, or alone--this is when we notice real friends. They are the ones who don't just talk about us, but to us.

They are the ones who show up on our doorsteps with sleeves rolled up ready to help. So if you want to be a good friend be a stayer. Friends don't give up on friends.

I still remember the times when we had our very first outing. We met up at the Orchard MRT Station and then proceeded to watch The Hannibal at Shaw Tower. Eight turned up but it was the most memorable time I had.

I could still remember how we were seated in the cinema and who screamed and who covered their eyes in fear. These eight people were those few who I am close with in time to come till now; Derrick, Rahila, Devi, Constance, Eric, Chow Weng, and Taufik.

And then I organized the first chalet for the class. Yes, you figured that I was always the one organizing and initiating stuffs. We had it at Pasir Ris at Aloha Loyang. It was somewhat far and situated at a isolated area but nearly everyone turned up.

I was happy, happy that my effort was not gone to waste.

We spent the nights playing UNO and whoever loses had to forfeit. Nobody really slept during the first night. We bonded. And by the end of the whole chalet thing, we got to know one another more better.

And there were the other chalets I organized for the class which were as equally good.

Those were the times to remember.

Reversal

Two more days and I will not meet my classmates that often again. I regret not knowing some of them better. Only when it's the second last day and when it's time to part, you take the chance to talk to them.

How ironic could it get. Two years may seem short but it was the best two years I had with my classmates. The ups and downs. The quarrels. The bad times. The good times. All this shall be remembered.

It's been a long since I felt this way. Sadness seems to engulf me and I am not certain if I could control my emotions on the last day of school.

I always thought it's unneccesary to have friends but now I realize what I said earlier on was untrue. It has to be scraped off my mind. Friends are always there for you. They are like the 2nd best thing to happen in your life.

I realize how much I need them. They are my support. I am really sad to part with some of them. For the two years, some of my classmates have become really good friends with me.

Looking back, I regret quarreling with some of them. But all's good now. How I wish I could turn back time.

The Sins

A woman is having an affair during the day while her husband is at work. Her nine-year-old son comes home unexpectedly, sees the illegal lovers and hides in the bedroom cupboard to watch.

Then the woman's husband unexpectedly comes home. She hides her lover in the cupboard, not realising that her little boy is in there already.

The little boy says: "Dark in here."

The man says: "Yes, it is."

Boy: "I have a soccer ball, do you want to buy it?"

Man: "No, thanks."

Boy: "My dad's outside, I'll call him if you don't buy it!"

Man: "OK, how much?"

Boy: "$250-00."

A few weeks later it happened again and the boy and the lover were in the cupboard together again.

Boy: "Dark in here."

Man: "Yes, it is."

Boy: "I have soccer boots."

The lover, remembering the last time, asks the boy: "How much?"

The boy says:"$750-00."

The secret lover says: "Fine, I will buy them."

A few days later, the father says to the boy: "Grab your ball and boots, let's go outside and have a game."

The boy says: "I can't, I sold them for $1000."

The father says: "That's terrible to overcharge your friends like that.....$1000 is way more than those two things cost.I'm going to take you to church and make you confess your sins."

They go to church and the father makes the little boy sit in the confession booth and he closes the door.

The boy says: "Dark in here."

The priest says: "Don't start that sh*t again!"

Tears

Today was the second last day of school. As I stepped out of the classroom, sadness engulfed me. Seeing the classroom, the school, the library, the cafeteria and some of my classmates for the second last time saddens me.

Friendship build for the two years in my current school was much stronger than my previous. We shared our weals and woes. We overcame obstacles together. We went out and had several chalets during our terms break.

Finally, I felt the power of friendship. And seeing me leaving the school, leaving them, really upsets me alot. I mean, yes, we can still contact one another even after we graduate but we do not see as often as we were in school.

I waited with my other two classmates outside the classrom for the others. There were silence, nobody really spoke. I tried to make jokes but as the seconds ticked hastily, I became sad.

And for a moment, tears gathered and threathened to fall. I tried to compose myself. I tried to put on a brave front. I did not wish to cry in front of them. But I could no handle my emotions any longer.

Tears rolled down my cheeks. It all happened too fast. I was then comforted by one of my classmates, Erna. I did not felt any better though.

Another of my classmates cried too but it was subtle. I dried my tears before the other classmates noticed me. The times we spend togther for the two years will always be on my mind.

As I write this entry, tears fell.

I'm going to miss you all so much. The most beautiful thing that had happened in my life is to know you all. All of you bring laughter to me. I'd never felt this way before. I felt blessed to have such classmates.

Under The Radar

I cannot believe that my precious laptop was infected with spywares. After downloading a spyware removal program, I was shocked to know that there were 9421 infected items through thorough scannings.

But because that the program only scans and does not removes spywares, I had to download another program which is able to do so. Finding the program itself took me 15 minutes or so.

After installing and scanning my laptop again, it was time for it to remove the infected items. How can I possibly not know that my laptop had those spyware installed?

Yesterday, the spyware removal only manage to remove 4000 infected items and since it was already late for me and that I was really sleepy, I decided to continue the removal the next day.

Tired I was but I continued with the removal thing from 2 in the afternoon till 6 in the evening. I was glad when the spyware removal notify me that my laptop was clean.

I'd switched the spyware guard on and I hope by doing so, my laptop will not get infected by spywares again.

Minutes ago, I chatted with one of my friends at MSN who gave me a dash of hopes to what I thought was already highly impossible to request for. Now, I'm slightly leaning forward to the ray of hope that is shining to me.

"It's a 50-50 chance," he said.

But I must consult my other half and parents for their point of view first before I do anything.

What should I do?

The Escape; Penguin On The Run

When I thought I could spent the weekends with peace, something bizarre happened in the premises of my home. I received a call from the Penguin Society in Antartica, warning me that there was a penguin on the loose.

What has that got to do with me? I thought.

But they insisted that the penguin was somewhere in my house since they had placed a small device at the penguin's back to detect its location.

Crazy! I said. I continued surfing the net as usual.
