The Medics' Cohesion; Barbeque at ECP, Partying at MOS

A violin song pulls us out of sleep, dreams of trains and pineapples, like a silk rope. I noticed the morning light come to the wall. I learned about waking up before dawn, not to the light, but to the stirring that moves the blood in our thighs and hands. The morning was ancient before the sun even rose.

(8.30a.m)

I slowly opened my eyes, still tossing and turning on my bed. Lethargic I was still because I slept at 3 in the morning.

I tried not to fall asleep again as for my meeting with my medic friends was drawing near. I did not want to be late.

(8.45a.m)

I gently rose from my bed and made my way to the balcony. I opened the window and sniffed the fresh air. I looked at the newly planted trees at the park.

Trees are terrific. They cover the world and provide air and beauty for all to enjoy. Yes indeed trees are terrific. There are many uses for trees and their byproducts. Everywhere we look there are trees or some kind of shrub that always give us something to look at.

Trees make life more pleasant. They make the world beautiful. When we go and lay in parks where there are lots of trees we feel peaceful, at ease, and most of all happy. Trees make life more pleasant. Trees make people more at ease and have also shown that hospital patients recover faster when they around trees.

People have strong ties with trees. Some people always remember that one tree that they grew up around and never forget it for as long as they live. The strength that trees have gives people a feeling of self strength to help them get through everyday life.

Most of trees are private property, but that does not mean that they are not part of the community also. Since trees are everywhere, there is a lot of planning that goes into the placement of trees so that they benefit everyone. Trees provide people with privacy for their homes and yards. Trees also serve an architectural function as well. Many architects use trees to improve the looks of a businesses and public areas to make people more at home.

Trees also benefit the environment. They alter the environment in which we live by moderating the climate, improving...

I reached for the chair and sat on it. I took out my discman and listened to Enya's songs. Lovely. My eyes closed, still feeling lethargic.

"Wake up!" my inner voice urging me not to fall asleep.

(9.30a.m)

I hurried to the toilet to freshen myself up. I was terribly late. I had to practically rush. Minutes later, I went to the kitchen and grabbed a burger and heat it up in the oven and then proceeded to my room to get ready.

My burger was burnt. I was too famish that I ate the burger within 4 bites. How impressive is that?

I just love taking photos of myself. I'm a narcissist.

(10.30a.m)

Just living is not enough. One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower. Life is like a road. It's always ongoing.

(11.00a.m)

I reached my destination which was at Causeway Point to meet my bunkmates.

(11.05a.m)

Zhenghao a.k.a Chinaman was afraid that I would rape him (that's why he's covering his assets).

Michael's so cute that you would want to pinch his cheeks!

The American guy's showing what he's made off while Zhenghao is praying for his well-being.

Since we still had time, we decided to watch a movie before proceeding to my house to collect the barbeque food.

A quick pose.

We watched Derailed but however, Zhenghao could not understand the story plot and I find it rather draggy.

"But they have to introduce the characters properly, that is why it's a slow start." said Hannli.

I look fat! FAT FAT FAT!

(1.20p.m)

We proceeded to my house to collect the barbeque food.

Life is energy. All energy disburses and effects other life, or energy, giving it what it needs to sustain. Then, it expels energy and radiates this towards another life, or energy source. Energy never really "dies".

It was a long ride to my home. Everyone's falling asleep.

My dream house. Aren't they beautiful?

Upon reaching my house, we took a short rest before we continued our journey to East Coast Park.

(4.00p.m)

While waiting for the others, we took quite a number of photos of ourselves, -well-, myself.

When they are not looking...

"I'm a Monkey and I will do crazy stunts for you. Making funny faces is my forte. Hire me!"

(5.04p.m.)

Soon, they started coming one by one or in groups.

Immediately, we started the fire.

Our hands and fingers got dirty even before the fire was started.

Did Marcus just pointed his two middle fingers at me?

Hannli's ejoying it!

Our Bruneian friend.

Hooray to them for getting the fire started.

And that's my skates! Muahaha!

Soon after, it started to rain and we have to retreat to the nearest shelter. The flames were wiped out as soon as the rain arrived.

But we still have alot of food to munch.

Will the rain stop? thought Marcus.

Zhenghao was frustrated that he was not included in the picture. Look at him stare from the back.

Ok ok, pictures for you!

"Oh my god! He's going to lick me!"

Marcus was still checking if the rain had stopped.

Of course I must take a picture with my buddy! He's been helping me alot.

Take one!
Perfect!

Zhenghao and I.

Marcus and I. We both look like Himbos.

Achwee and I.

Terence Tay is being nicknamed Penguin because he looks like one; adorable.

Chicken Little and I.

Waisan and I.
Wijaya and I.

Ah! My 1SIR friend. We nicknamed him Ah Beng because he looks like one but seriously, he does not act like one.

We played poker game while waiting for the rain to stop. Seriously, it was a long wait.

Whose leg is this? Figure out yourself.

You will only understand if you watch the MADTV version of Memoirs of Geisha. I can put my whole fist in mouth and they can't. *Smiles*

Still playing poker cards.
Aww! Despite his injury, he still come! Kudos to Douglas!

Love is a deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness.

It is an intense emotional attachment, as for an appreciated pet or treasured object.

Looking at each other and talking, giving your undivided attention. That twenty or more minutes of time will never be had again: we are giving our lives to each other. It is a powerful communicator of love.

I felt the warmth and love when I saw them walking together in the rain.

Soon after, the rain stopped. We were back at our pit.

There were orbs flying around in the photo taken (below).

A group photo.

They started the fire again...

And Zhenghao stained his shirts with charcoal.

(6.25p.m.)

Our guest-of-honour has not arrive yet.

The food were nicely done especially the chickens.

The skies were growing darker and our hopes were diminishing.

I don't think she will come, I thought.

But I dismissed that thought of mine when I saw her walking to our barbeque pit. We were expecting our Ma`am!

And I was the first to take a photo with her. Envy me my fellow medics!

It was 9. It was time for us to take a group photo together when abruptly my camera's battery went flat. Damn! How unfortunate.

Luckily, there were other cameras available! And till now I have yet to get the photos from them.

Zhenghao and I proceeded to Hannli's house after the barbeque. Since it was still early for us, I'd planned for the platoon to go MOS (Ministry of Sound) instead.

I brought a black shirt and pants but still they look rather plain on me. Hannli is kind enough to let me borrow his exquite jacket which match perfectly with my shirt and pants.

Immediately, I charged my camera's battery.

(11.00p.m)

Terence Tay, Terence Ng, Ah Beng and his girlfriend and Chicken Little were already there. Zhenghao, Hannli and I decided to take a cab down, fearing of being late.

We arrived 30 minutes later and suprising enough, the queue was not long.

Hannli's photogenic!
The trance dancefloor is so packed. Ah Beng and his company were amongst the crowd. I went to look for them.

Terence's drunk.

We're still sober.

I was getting a little tipsy.

Ah beng and his girlfriend. Aren't they a cute couple.

Afterward, Douglas, Mahathir, Marcus and Zhirong joined us.

It's only minutes before I got really drunk. I knew I was going to be drunk because I am not a good drinker. In fact, I don't drink.

They made fun of me when I was drunk! haha!

Drunk! So so drunk! It took me 1 1/2 hours to recover.

Okay, maybe not.

(4.00a.m)

I left and headed to stay-over at Hannli's house with Zhenghao and Mahathir. All I wanted to do then was to sleep till morning.
