Instax is a brand of instant still cameras and films There are two formats of Instax film and cameras − the original "wide" format which gives an image approximately 60 mm x 99 mm, and a "mini" format of 62 mm x 46 mm.

The Fujifilm Instax mini 8 is a basic point and shoot camera that takes instant photos and develops them like an old school Polaroid camera. The analogue camera looks like a toy and and is guaranteed to have serious hipster appeal.

Buttons and features are basic. Up front is a button to extend the collapsible lens and turn on the camera. Around the lens is the brightness adjustment dial you can twist to choose the different exposure levels. On the hand grip is the camera trigger with the viewfinder above and the always on flash just beside it. Around the back is where you’ll find compartments for film and the battery on the hand grip. Yes it takes batteries, two AA ones to be precise. This is an analogue camera in every way.

Despite the wacky design, the Mini 90 is pretty simple to use. Loading the 10-exposure packs of film is easy as pie. Just click it right into place and close the hatch.
The great thing about the Mini 90 are the various modes, which give you more control than you would have on most instant film cameras. Figuring out what they all do can take some time, and probably some wasted film. Like the good old days! The mode button on back cycles through them all, and there is a small LCD display showing what one you have chosen. Also on the back is a battery door that holds a rechargeable lithium-ion pack. It lasts plenty long, but hard to judge since you're not exactly taking this thing out and shoot hundreds of shots at a time.
