LongPan Park is located aside Jia-E highway on Hengchun Peninsula which is a coral limestone tableland close to Pacific Ocean. Since limestone has been washed by sea water over a long period of time, it has formed an adequate geology including cliff, penetration holes, notches, limestone caves and red soil and that is the most beautiful local coastline.

Standing on the coast, you will see the cliff in tens of meters height different in front of your eyes. It is the grand landscape that nature carves.

Since limestone is rock with several fracture surfaces, when sea water keeps eroding along joints, limestone is cut into several rock fragments in different sizes. After dragged by gravity from waves flapping, large rocks gradually collapsed and cliff has been formed. If there were only brown cliff rocks close with sea water, the scene could be a bit boring. However, there are many green plants growing here which brings a more colorful scene.

Clear sky and sea are in the same blue. When wind blows, waves are generated both on ocean and grasses. It is the green and white romance. It won’t be strange that you forget to move when seeing such a beautiful scene.

Walking on the path in LongPan Park, you will also find some interesting changes of scenery along the path. In the beginning, the path surface is red soil. After a turn, you will see a small group of coral reefs clustering on the path. Keeping moving further, the rock path surface turns into green grass. When close to the coast, there are larger coral rocks sitting on the ground which seem like accompanying tourists overlooking the natural beauty of sea, sky, grasses and rocks in harmony.
