Fun, Fast, Fresh, Fantastic: Fusing together the best of what Mexican and Japanese fast foods have to offer, diners can now indulge in a quality spread of healthy and delicious, yet reasonably priced Sushi Burritos; Singapore’s first ever burrito sized sushi hand rolls.

A Meal with a View: An open concept kitchen offers diners a full view of the ninja chefs in action.

Vision: At Sushi Burrito, we stand by the belief in using only 100% fresh vegetables and fruits, unprocessed meats, and no taste enhancer for all the goodness wrapped in every Sushi Burrito. Because healthy eating starts from eating fresh.

Founder of Sushi Burrito, Sherry Ang commented, “We believe that we are the only Japanese fast-food cafe in Singapore to offer low-carb burritos which are made freshly on the spot for the busy work crowd. We’ve observed that sushi counters in Singapore serve rolls with big rice portions and very little of other ingredients. Understanding this, we ensure that every Sushi Burrito consists of 15% rice, 50% mixed greens and 35% fresh premium Japanese ingredients for a balanced low carb diet. This makes for a perfect healthy, and on-the-go meal for the busy working professional.”

Sushi Burritos are complemented with unique secret house blended sauces. These new takes on old classics like Plum and Goma sauce will surely leave your mouth bursting with a variety of flavours.

Centrally located in the hustle and bustle of Singapore’s central business district, Sushi Burrito’s flagship store at 100AM on Tras Street opens daily from 10am to 9.30pm (last order at 9pm) and aims to be the perfect pit stop for the busy working crowd.

I was very honored to be in the kitchen to see how the head chef prepared the sushi!

Healthy makizushi (rolled sushi) the size of burritos ($10.90-$13.90) is the main draw here (calorie count included on the menu), made with an average of 120g of white Japanese rice (approx 3/4 of a rice bowl, per roll) each.

You will be spoilt for choices from a gamut of innovative creations like crabby crunch, rising sun, rainbow shrimp, flaming dragon, rainbow and veggie dragon.

Since the burritos are huge, the place serves it cut in half which makes it easier for the burrito to be shared with a friend.

Gyoza is typically a ground meat and vegetable mix that is wrapped in a thin dough with the edges pinched together. It is this distinct oblong shape that differentiates it from wontons, although they are very similar.
There are different ways of preparing gyoza from boiling, to steaming or frying. They’re so easy to eat -just give them a little dip and then pop them into your mouth- you may find that you’ve eaten a lot more than you expected.

We had the Veggie Green which consists of fried mushrooms, lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, Aovacado, Inari and the toppings Temp Katsu.

To be completely honest with you guys, I hate greens but somehow when I tasted the Veggie Green, I immediately fell in love with it.

It was actually one of the best. So for vegan lovers out there, order VEGGIE GREEN!

Crabby crunch consists of soft shell crab, naruto maki, ice berg lettuce, cabbages, red pickles, carrots, avacado and toppings ebikko. Crabby crunch wasn't one of my favorite pick but it was still mouth-watering.

I love, love, love, love Flaming Dragon which consists of fresh tuna and jellyfish with a slightly spicy wasabi sauce. I'm a fan of tuna and wasabi. I felt the tingles in my tongue and body when I bite into the Flaming Dragon.

The Rainbow Shrimp has prawns, naruto maki, lettuce, cucumber, purple cabbage, carrot, takuan, and pink fish floss. This is one of those burritos that will make you full quite easily.

Yummy Belly has beef, lettuce, tomato, green onions, cucumber, carrots, spring onions, and fukushin zuke. There's a lot of flavors and textures.

This is definitely a perfect place to chill out and have gatherings with your friends.
