Stumbling upon a hidden gem in Ang Mo Kio - Kinsa Sushi.

Kinsa Sushi is located on the 2nd floor of Jubilee Square, right next to Popular Bookstore.

Kinsa Sushi serves quality food at affordable prices to cater for a larger group of heart landers being able to enjoy both the authentic cuisine and also the warmth of true Japanese ambiance and service.

Kinsa Sushi specialises in sashimi and sushi.

Kinsa Sushi brings in their seafood 3-4 times a week, to maintain the quality and freshness.

If you like to eat delicious river shrimp, Kawa Ebi Karaage (deep-fried river shrimp) comes highly recommended at Kinsa Sushi.
Kawa Ebi Karaage (Deep Fried River Shrimp). (I rate, 3/5stars)

Fugu Mirin Boshi (Marinated Pufferfish). (I rate, 3.5/5stars)
For the more adventurous, there's Fugu mirin boshi a superaddictive and super-safe marinated puffer fish.

The assorted sashimi was really to die for. TO DIE FOR I TELL YOU! The assorted Sashimi arrived later than the Fugu Mirin Boshi and Kawa Ebi Karaage but we finished the entire bowl immediately after it arrived. That was how good the assorted sashimi were. I especially love the Salmon and Tuna.

Assorted Sashimi. (Shake , Mekajiki , Akami , Kanpachi ). (I rate 4/5stars)

Foie Gras Mizore (Foie Gras Soup). (3.5/5stars)

I am really not a fan of any type of soup. I guess it's just me but the Foie Fras Mizore at Kinsa Sushi was so rich. The chunks of foie gras just melts in my mouth.

Assorted Sushi (4.5/5stars)
(Shake Harasu , Hotate , Ika , Tai )
I personally like the Salmon Belly, Hotate and Ika. I was not a fan of the Sea Bream. I guess it's just personal preferences.

Their premium beef, SooGyu (grade A4) is imported from Kagoshima, Japan.

Japanese SooGyu Don (Pan Seared SooGyu Beef on Rice) (5/5stars)
I died and literally went to HEAVEN when I tasted the Japanese SooGyu Don. IT WAS by far, THE best Japanese SooGyu Don I've tasted in SINGAPORE. It was perfection. I am like salivating when I wrote this review.

They have a very unique concept at Kinsa Sushi. They encourage the interaction between diners and sushi chef.

The selling point of Kinsa Sushi is the fish tank carrying seasonal fish from Japan. Customers are ONLY required to pay for the price of the fish. The restaurant is able to recommend and prepare 2 to 3 dishes with the selected fish. (ie, sashimi, grill, soup and deep fried fish bones)

Shannon explained to me that they bring in the freshest unfrozen seafood that they ice on display at the counter so that everyone can see what are their selection for the day.

The service here is very friendly and attentive to our needs. The décor is very Zen like.

Overall, it is uncommon you can find a good quality Japanese food in the heartland.

Kinsa sushi have different range of pricing in their menu to accommodate different range of customers.

Waitresses are dressed in kimonos and the Japanese chefs uniforms! Very appropriate.

If you guys are looking for a place, away from the crowd, for a quality Japanese dinner, Kinsa Sushi is the place.
