Men's Fashion Week - Day 2

Day 2 was crazy! Saw a couple of my good pals!

UTT was very DRESSY! Whoa!

Started off with Beyond Closet.

Beyond Closet by Tae Yong.

Ko Tae-Yong was the youngest designer to showcase his debut collection at the prestigious Seoul Fashion Week back in 2008. Since then, his label Beyond Closet has continued to garner praise from the fashion circuits.
Ko draws his inspirations from everyday moments and translates this nostalgia into design from a masculine point of view. Each season, Ko presents a theme that weaves together all the pieces from each collection seamlessly. Past collections include “Diary”, “Your Boyhood” and “Ordinary People”; all of which have reconstructed classic menswear pieces with wit and individuality.

Speech by Mr. James Tulley!

Heemin Yang (aka as Vandal) graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in Clothing and Textiles before going on to launch Vandalist in 2006 with a Fall/Winter Collection showcase in Seoul that received much praise.
The label embodies an element of rebelliousness and employs creative destruction to produce menswear that challenges the traditional notions of male dressing. A monochromatic pallet of black, gray and white often characterizes Yang’s collections. Clean lines and sharp tailoring afford a minimalist look that occasionally blends brooding masculinity with a cautious hint of femininity through the use of techniques such as draping.

With Jed and his friend and Jen!

Lee’s label Resurrection is a line inspired by early Christian art. Roman and Byzantine art as well as design concepts of the late antique period are clear influences in every collection. Her edgy designs have been widely lauded for it’s ornate detailing and exquisite cuts.

I took photos with many FABULOUS PEOPLE!

With Dr. Frank Cintamani.

D.GNAK places strong emphasis on immaculate tailoring and pays homage to classical menswear with items like blazers and coats featuring as a staple in every collection. Dong imbues his individuality into each of his collection with interesting detailing that lends a contemporary spin to his pieces.

Arekusu really stood out! He was playful but yet showcasing the designer's clothes.

Performances by Megan Lee BLEW ME AWAY! Really powerful voice!

Choi has also been working on bringing the label onto the international stage and has since debuted in the New York Fashion Week. His design aesthetic intersects classic menswear looks with utilitarian streetwear sensibilities to create silhouettes that are at once chic yet timeless.

And last but not the LEAST, performances by Se7en.
