Anne Hathaway and Matthew McConaughey are friends now thanks to an embarrassing case of bad timing.
At a recent tribute to McConaughey, Hathaway recalled the start of their friendship together. She and husband Adam Shulman came to his house for a party, where Matthew greeted them with a smile and some bad news.
“Matthew goes, ‘Yeah, you gotta come in,'” Hathaway recalled. “Matthew turns around, again (with) a smile and goes, ‘The party was last night.'”
But the famously laid-back McConaughey wouldn’t be bothered by the case of mistaken timing, and invited Anne Hathaway and her husband inside for a drink.
