I was on board a cab 3 hours ago.
And I thought I would have a peace time in the cab BUT NO!
Taxi driver, "You want to go by AYE?"
(I was from Holland Village and I am going home; Jurong)
I said, "No, just go all the way straight?"
Why go all the way straight? Go AYE better.
I replied, "Just go straight..."
GOT ALOT OF TRAFFIC LIGHTS YOU KNOW?!
"YA!" I replied agitatedly.
This is a minor case.
The major one was when I reached my destination, the fare read, "$12".
So I took out 2 $10 notes and gave him.
Taxi driver, "You got $2?"
I said no.
"You got coins?"
I scrambled to find my coins in my pockets.
NO.
But I don't have small notes, said the driver.
I don't have $2 uncle.
The taxi driver took out his wallet and flashed to me, "I only have one $2 note."
BUT I DON'T HAVE $2 with me. If you don't mind taking just $10, then it will save all the trouble! I said.
No, replied the uncle.
I was getting very frustrated.
Is it my problem that I don't have an exact change?
I didn't give $50 note, you know?
I gave $20 and all the taxi driver needed to do was to give me back $8 change.
Is it my FAULT that I don't have an exact change?
Then he told me to pay by NETS.
What if that time, I didn't carry my atm card out with me?
What will the scenario be?
I bet it will turn ugly.
I took out my ATM card and paid by nets. AND BLOODY HELL, I HAVE TO PAY ADDITIONAL $0.30 for using my nets.
What the heck?
