Billy was five years old. His sister was in the hospital and needed surgery. Billy's blood type was the same as his siter's rare type. Billy loved his sister very much; so when his parents asked him to give blood to his sister, he thought about it for a while and then said, "Yes." Arrangements were made for Billy to go to the hospital the next day to donate blood.
That afternoon, his mother noticed Billy going out of the house several times with arms full of toys. She asked what he was doing. Billy said, "I am giving away my toys to my friends before i die tomorrow when i give my blood to my sister!"
His mother said, "Oh, Billy, you won't die! You will only give a little bit of your blood to your sister, not all of it!" Billy was very relieved and said, "Whew! I thought i had to give it all!"
