I have always felt frustrated when I receive the SMS that reads something like “Sorry we cannot find a cab now. Please try again after 10 minutes.” Admittedly, it is more a matter of frustration than curiosity when I see cab drivers would not take advantage of the heavy demand when it rains and earn a lot of money, for I see them all so often waiting in long lines outside malls with few passengers in sight. Then I hear that cab drivers do not want to drive when it rains because of the risk of an accident.
