At first impression Zalora.com.ph might seem like any other online shopping website. But if you pay attention, there are some cool underrated features!
The first thing that would probably hit you would be the large pictures that scroll by themselves. Really efficient for quick browsing to see what they have to offer. What’s more, it stops scrolling when you mouse over it! Makes it so easy to browse and get details when you want it. Good job website designers!
They layout is simple, clean and you can clearly see the categories, which if you’re very specific in your online shopping, works to your advantage. Whether it’s the different categories for men and women at the side, the different brands, or the details you see on the top of the page, everything you need is pretty much there and navigating the page is a piece of cake.
If that’s not all, when you scroll down a little, you get to see the day’s top sellers – all in that scrolling fashion – so you can see what other people are buying.
But seriously, what surprised me the most was the “Live Chat” option on the top right part of the page, next to it’s FAQs and stuff. It seems to be a dead link now (unfortunately L) but if they actually do set it up it could be quite revolutionary don’t you think? I mean imagine this; you go online to do some shopping, and you’re not entirely convinced about something, or you have some sort of problem but don’t want to ‘send a ticket’ or email the organization – you go into the live chat! Ask around, and bam! If you’re not unlucky, you get all the answers (and perhaps even get to know a few people along the way) that you need! If moderated well I think this could be very cool indeed.
