Nathan's Intriguing Debate

What's considered to be a relationship varies on the individual. Personally, I think it's four years and above.

1) Be realistic It's okay to look up to people in long term relationships as role models but do understand that their relationship involves only him and his partner, it's honestly none of your business unless you're part of the equation or their action has harmed u directly. And let's be real, people fuck up all the time. And people in long term relationships are people too, role models are people too.

2) Length is not the best indication of the success of a relationship

A successful relationship, in my opinion, should be one that value add in both party's life.

I mean the couple could be miserable cunts tolerating one another till death do them apart and would you call that a good relationship? Sometimes a one night affair could be much more meaningful and value adding than a relationship.

3) Its a whole different ball game compared to a short term relationship (four year and below)

It's often the stage where lovers become family too.

Maintaining novelty and keeping the romance alive are two big challenges to deal with.

Fours years and above is a long time and there's only so many sexual and romantic things you could do with someone without exhausting the checklist.

Being so familiar with a person and seeing someone so regularly (esp if you move in) makes it easy to take someone for granted.

So cut them some slacks, fellows. And cut yourselves some slacks.
Cause honestly, how many long term relationships does one usually have? Many people are long term relationship virgins and are figuring out how it works.
